Likewise; much as I love that kind of thing in fiction the sort of surveillance society it could herald in reality is more than a little disturbing. Not to mention, the inevitablity of people becoming product in line with bionic upgrades - hence the barcoded eye.
That said we already have vast CCTV coverage while the majority of people carry cameraphones so perhaps the fiction is closer than we think...
Also, there's already a distinct dynamic between the two starting to form :)
